Open Apiary Hours

Our open apiary hours are designed to allow individuals to come and see seasonal management over the course of the season. At each session we will be conducting comprehensive inspections of colonies and making seasonal management decisions to include: Health checks, mite monitoring, queen status, food reserves, mite treatments, feeding, etc. 

• $25/per person, per session. Except for those below. 
• FREE to 2025 Beekeeping Above the 45th Parallel course students and no registration is required.
• FREE  to Great Plains Master Beekeeping program at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln current students. Registration is required for GPMB students.
• Please note at checkout which date you are registering for. 
• All Open Apiary Classes take place at Bee Wise Farms in Newberry, Michigan. You can find the address in the footer of any page.

• May 16, 2025 - 5:30-7:30pm
• June 20, 2025 - 5:30-7:30pm
• July 18, 2025 - 5:30-7:30pm
• August 15, 2025 - 5:30-7:30pm
• September 12, 2025 - 5:30-7:30pm
• October 10, 2025 - 5:30-7:30pm

Attendees are advised to bring their own veils and gloves. DO NOT bring hive tools or smokers as these will be supplied.
